Tattoo for Terrice

Terrice at work came to me at the beginning of the month because she and a friend were getting tattoos. Her friend, Rudae, is getting a flower on her upper arm where the vines will wrap around the arm. Terrice wanted a flower too, but didn't want it to wrap. I don't know if Rudae has her tattoo already picked out, but Terrice asked if I would draw hers, so I told her I'd sketch up some concepts.

The original terms were that the tattoo would be black and white with shading, and the subject would be "A pretty flower with stars". Obviously, that leaves a lot of room for interpretation. After talking to her, we narrowed "pretty flower" down into the Lily family. She also really liked the idea of there being swirls of some sort.

So instead of just swirls, I created vines and leaves, because it seemed to help tie everything into the flower a little better. I added the stars, and then printed out the first version to take to work to show her.

She absolutely loved it, but was torn because she'd come up with a concept that included little dots and circles. So this is take-2. I added in the dots and changed up the leaves a tiny bit from the first version. I'm hoping she likes it a little better now.

I'm honestly tired of working on this thing, lol. But I understand that she wants it perfect. It is, after all, going to be permanently tattooed on her arm if she chooses this design to go with. I'd want it to be perfect, too.
