As posted in my recent journal, my grandmother has MS. I've taken the challenge to try and raise $1,500 so that I can be a part of the MS challenge walk, and as I've been in the spirit of helping to support this cause, I noticed that out of all the stamps floating about DA, there is only 1 other MS stamp besides mine.

And though I do like that other MS stamp, there needs to be more. Look how many cancer stamps there are, just for cancer, as well as breast cancer.

Is Multiple Sclerosis really that unknown?

That's why we need to step it up and let the world know about MS. I'm not using this stamp to ask people to donate, or to get page views in hopes that someone will notice my journal... I'm using this stamp to get the word out that Multiple Sclerosis is out there, and it's slowly devouring the lives of those we love.

So please. If you support Cancer research, then why not MS too? There's no cure yet, and that's what we need. Please spread the word.

Also I'd really appreciated if all who used this stamp would leave a comment here. It doesn't have to be anything long, just a simple "I'm using it" would be fine by me. I'd just like to know how many supporters of this cause are lurking out there. I'd also enjoy hearing any stories of other MS survivors, or of anyone who knows someone who's got MS. It's a small world, and I know I'm not the only one here who's got connections to this disease.

Thanks. <3

The slogan may have been used somewhere before... It's highly possible I could've heard it somewhere and picked it up without realizing it, so lemme know and I'll give credit if so.

That's a great challenge you're taking on, and I wish you the best of luck.

My neighbours used to raise money for MS but have now retired. They still have groups of people come round of parties and such to show support. Good on you for highlighting it, Keep it up and good luck, take care and happy drawing

Thanks :3

I had talked to my mom about it today, as she's doing it too, and she told me I should start training which... is a very good idea. XD At this point, I'd never make it. 31 miles is a loooong way |D
:icontehalbi:
Oh, that's great! I've never heard of people doing that! :D

The only thing I've heard about around here that really puts it out there is this MS walk, but I think that's about it, sadly. There's so many groups for Cancers and such (not that it's bad!) but MS is a huge problem as well, and it seems to be shadowed by the larger, more well known diseases. ]:

Thank you so much. It's really appreciated <3
:iconzanimira:
Not a problem. ^^

Lol. X3 Yes, that's a very good idea indeed. Practise makes perfect! =3

I'm sorry to hear that ]:

It's really odd how many people suffer with it, or know those who suffer with it, and yet it's so widely unheard of.
